Telling the Story in Glass with Kelly Crosser Alge Session II
SOLD OUT! Waiting List Available
This intensive workshop will teach students how to use glass powders to draw two-dimensional imagery in glass. Traditional ideas of drawing using a non-traditional approach will be explored. Kelly will teach you how to use glass to interpret line, value, contrast, texture, color, and composition.
In addition to learning technical processes, you’ll have the freedom to experiment with the many ways to tell a story, evoke emotion and express mood.
In a bonus addition, Kelly will cover collage part sheets for sgraffito drawing, tool making, incorporating color, reactive glass, volume control, firing schedules, glass finishing and kiln-formed cane and murrini!
By the end of this journey, you will have gained a new awareness of the visual language that is possible in kiln-formed glass, as well as confidence in your ability to ‘see’ as an artist.
Prerequisite: No drawing experience necessary, but some fusing experience is helpful
All glass and materials are included. Either bring lunch, or we will order out and pick up for you!
