Pate de Verre Magic - with Emma Varga Session II

During this 5-day course, Emma will introduce an array of atypical methods in using frit and a vast number of combinations using these methods.
The most notable difference from common use of pâte de verre is the absence of ’paste’. Emma uses dry frit, which leads to a number of shortcuts and unusual combinations of well known glass techniques – fusing and slumping.
This approach is very effective, easy to do and produces eye-catching results. Additional advantages are considerable savings in materials and energy for firings, as well as almost no need for coldworking finalized projects.
An integral part of this class will be, short but useful, daily PowerPoint presentations, demonstrating how Emma uses these processes in creating her own artwork.
Emma will demo small projects in glass during the workshop, further clarifying the simplicity of her processes. She will teach the importance of precision, and following disciplined procedures.
You will create several finalized projects by the end of this workshop!

~ A 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot in all workshops. The balance is due 60 days prior to the workshop date.
We are now charging a $25 fee to join our workshop waiting lists. If you get offered a spot in a workshop, the $25 fee will go towards your deposit. If you are offered a spot and DO NOT take it, you will lose half of your $25 fee. If we don’t have any cancellations, your $25 fee will be refunded.
All glass and materials are included in this class.
Either bring lunch, or we will order out and pick it up for you.
