Kiln Glass Casting with Jen Blazina
Have you ever wanted to learn about mold making and kiln casting? In this exciting class we will explore materials, make molds, casting glass and finishing work. Some topics covered through demonstrations will be: how to work with lost wax, a simple flat pate de verre mold, how to make a one-part mold, how to make a two part mold, experimentation with objects, and how to finish a cast glass piece. Learn all of the parts of the process from beginning to end! At the end of the course, each student will take home a wonderful one of a kind artwork. Handouts will also be given on all of the techniques covered and how to build your own kiln casting shop.

You will be charged the balance 60 days prior to workshop date!
~ A 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot in all workshops. The balance is due 60 days prior to the workshop date.
We are now charging a $25 fee to join our workshop waiting lists. If you get offered a spot in a workshop, the $25 fee will go towards your deposit. If you are offered a spot and DO NOT take it, you will lose half of your $25 fee. If we don’t have any cancellations, your $25 fee will be refunded.
All glass and materials are included in this class. Either bring lunch, or we will order out and pick up for you!
There will also be a dinner hosted by Meryl Raiffe, filled with fun and games!
